Ajattara

compared to present day Amorphis, I totally support his decision
Ajattara's great, on album, and live

Statement from the bad:

The band wishes to end this topic and gives a reason why Pasi "left" the
band.

Leaving from Amorphis ended up to be the only choise. After a festival
show in Sziget last summer the band had a meeting regarding
forthcoming US tour and future. Pasi informed that he couldn't do the US
tour because of the understandable personal reasons, later on he
informed that he can't tour anymore.

There's been a lot of line-up changes during the years so leaving member
is not anything new for Amorphis. If a member suffers a lack of
motivation etc. it really makes no point for him to continue. It's about
music and not bringing anyones ego into spotlight.

It's quranteed that Amorphis 2005 will surprise a lot of fans that's for
sure and into positive direction. Catch Amorphis live and I'm 100% sure
that there's no more speculation wheter mr. Joutsen is good or not. He's
perfect!

Now, I love Ajattara and Amorphis both (my avatar has been the same since I registered on this damn site.) I have heard that Pasi got bored with Amorphis because of their mellower sound, as opposed to his other projects such as Shape of Despair, Ajattara, and To Separate the Flesh From Bones. Pasi has been known to be a shade difficult too.

He's a GREAT vocalist, though, and I hope Ajattara really takes off, they're a great band.
