Alaya - Throne

Here is some very promising new prog metal. Alaya's djenty style reminds me of Disperse or even Caligula's Horse. Here are two links with the second offering a bit of thrash. Throne can be order from their bandcamp site.

That's some pretty cool stuff, good call Lane. I'll wait till they have more samples on the bandcamp page, but these two are nice. I'm not completely sold on the vocals, but not turned off either. He sounds like the original Speaking to Stones singer, maybe too much rasp going on? I'm still picking through that massive BC list posted here, but this is better than most of what I heard from that.

This disc is very nice stuff. Vocalist reminds me of LaBrie in certain places.

I'm still forming an opinion on this disc. First passes are positive, but it's not truly grabbing me yet. Maybe it's just a grower.
