Album mix 1st song. Please check

Hey man what's up?

Nice blend with the guitars and bass, but the cymbals sound thin and too trebley (imo).. so I think all that really needs to be done is to take a touch of high end off of the cymbals.

I absolutely heard that too when I listened fresh.
The overheads are hi passed very high due to the amount of editing on the kicks.
I had to kill the low end and notch out the attack of the kicks on the overheads and room mic.
Fixed it as much as possible today and finished the mixes of the album.

sounds very pod, still nice though. it's got this nice old-school vibe to it, dig that! well done.

Do you mean line6 pod?
It's quad tracked with triple recto and 6505 through mesa cab each side.
No sims whatsoever. All real amps and cabs.

yeah, but still... line6 have a certain way of emulating distorsion, it's been refered to as "pod tact" and so forth, and you're tracks are "tacting" dude! it's like this weird lowmid frequency, try cutting some on the eq. to get it less in your face-ish and more blend-ish.

Gonna have to disagree with you here.
I don't think it sounds anything like a pod.
