By some minor miracle, I found a USED promotional copy of this album going for five dollars...one of my biggest steals ever. I didn't even know it was available in the US. Excellent tech-metal album, full of bizarre arrangements. Favorite songs on first listen include the Evolution trilogy (especially Warring Tribes), Surreality, awesome instrumental Eclectic, and closer Escape From The Black Hole with its warped but unforgettable chorus.

They certainly are a talented group of lads. They better release something new soon though.

Yeah, it has a US distribution since October of last year. They are currently writing a new CD which should be out in the Fall. Can't wait. Spiritech and Organasm were both excellent.

Spiritech is a much better album than organasm.

Yeah... ALCHEMIST are one of those bands I feel have been underrated and overlooked. I hope with Relapse behind them they can get more noticed.

Has any on had any luck getting a hold of the Eve Of The War E.P., It's really hard to find anywhere (including mp3 format).

Didn't know about the new album, sounds sweet!, Guess I'll have to put up with 'The Sham Mirrors' until it gets released. Oh Well.

IMO, their older stuff is just run of the mill death metal (if you were talking about Alchemist). But, maybe you'll like it.
