Tonight I blew the dust off this rare Alice Cooper album, my personal favorite, and was wondering if anyone else out there in old school world held it such high regard as I do.

I think it's Alice's best effort mostly for the emotion and versatility (it's almost progressive). He had recently come out of rehab and all the songs are related to mental conditions he experienced himself, or witnessed by being in the loony bin. It's got some of the coolest lyrics I've ever heard, and the songwriting is some of Cooper's best.

Oh Man alice cooper's "love it to death" was in my dads collection, I never realized how influential the album as a whole was ( I was like 5, operating a turntable at the age of 3, listening to my dads records all of them ,)

I have to go get that one on cd again ( thanks for the reminder) it was his first or second album

Basically let's say I have a gap (and I'm not feeling like filling it) between "Whiskey And Lace" to "Constrictor". :D

BTW, a truly underrated gem from the Coop is "Goes To Hell" IMO

I don't like Goes To Hell. I reckon the title track is unreal and a couple of other tracks are ok but overall its a bit bland I reckon.

Yeah I reckon those early '80s albums are bizarre! DaDa, Zipper Catches Skin, Special Forces and Flush The Fashion... just weird albums!! Though I have to say there are a couple of tracks on Special Forces that I kinda dig... I dunno why though haha!

I'm a huge Alice Cooper fan and can't wait for the tour in June. It's gonna be amazing seeing him do his theatrical show in an intimate theatre setting as opposed to an arena like normal! I love all the early albums, so influencial and so timeless... and my favourite era is the 86-91 stuff... not so much Constrictor though I love a few tracks off that, but Raise Your Fist & Yell, Trash and Hey Stoopid are amazing albums!
