by far one of the most memorable cars I have ever driven and have been in. my family back home in the Eastern Block

had a few of them ...

the work required to bring one up to speed was magical and just freaking insanely annoying at the same time ... but what a ride!

i'd really like to bring one over to the US and make it street legal ...

Trabant! holy shit this brings back some childhood memories.. it was called "the soapbox" in poland (mydelniczka) because basically outside was made of plastic lol

haha ... yeah, that's why you can find rust free ones around after 40 years.
remember vividly making cross country treks in them ... although cross-country back home was like going from NY to NJ

I've heard of this car but I dont know why. As a car fan, I've probably just seen it in a magazine or something
