All you faggots! Get in here

Euro Trip in 2008. Either to Hole in the Sky or Wacken. Who the hell is with me?!?!
From what JK has told me, Metal Camp would rule supreme. The balance between the intense music and the chilled atmosphere of the river in Tomlin, seems amazing. That's the only euro fest I'm considering for '08. And if the line-up works, I believe Jason (I'm sure Dark One will chime in when he reads this) and Britt, Paula and I are somewhat ready to commit to it.

To go to Slovenia and only see Metal Camp would be a shame since the surrounding landscape is pretty stunning, plus you're near both the Italian meditarraenean (sp???) coast and the Austrian alps.

If a trip to Slovenia is in order, it means renting some vehicle(s) and going on a tour.

Or we could just get drunk at Metal Camp. :loco:

Yep, if the line-up works, I'm definitely in. Also, if the lineup doesn't work, but there's a large contingent going, I still may be in just for the vacation aspect of the whole thing.

This is exactly the type of thing that would make me commit regardless of the lineup. The Austrian Alps scenery is downright amazing. If this becomes the plan, I'll commit now.

forget the line up at metal camp, seriously :tickled:

put it this way, if 10,000 people show up to metal camp, only 3,000 are watching the show, the rest are loitering somewhere in the wilderness

as far as I can tell with Wacken, it's basically one big field. Metal Camp is a field, a river, a river bank filled with bars, a forest, a field with a 2nd stage, a big hill, lots of food/vendor tents, lots of shade, a village market, beer, and inflatable dingies and kayaks

walking back to the car at night, through a woodland footpath, needed a flashlight :tickled:

it's so spread out, you don't get that built up sewage crap that you guys wrote about -- although porta-cabin toilets are just vile. :ill:

By the way, the hill I mentioned? It's next to the main stage, and the sky at night in Slovenia is crystal clear so you can see each star. Typically, people who aren't into standing in a big crowd go up the hill instead to sit and chill out, watch/listen to the bands, under the stars, and then of course.....light up. :tickled:

 Ok, ok, I'm sold. I'M IN!!!! Newsflash at 11:00.

Seriously, I'm 100% committed now.

:tickled: Like I said in the other thread, it's really just a big hippy commune. This could also have something to do with mostly east europeans attending, and as we all know, they're gypsies by nature. Just look at lurch. :loco:

Also, we talked about going through London at some point because I think the RC contingent needs to make its presence known at the Ruskin Arms.

When does this happen? June?

Off topic- The strap on a pair of sandals that I have worn religiously for the past 4 years just broke. Good Christ! I'm now forced to wear shoes!

Where is the show anyhow? And Ive never even heard a single song from Edguy....not that it matters if I get to hang out with fellow chum.

what do you think I know even one Edgay song? ... hehe ... fuck I am goign for IE and to see these RC momos.

btw, re: Metal Camp ... if all goes to my schedule, I might be in Eastern Europe around that time next year ... so MC is a distinct possiblity.
The layed back atmosphere of it souds awesome ...
Plus we have a gypsy meeting downstream ...

LOL - I've never experienced a hippie commune - for some reason it sounds very exciting. We get to sit around, be lazy and do nothing, but in the presence of atmospheric beauty. :kickass:

Sounds awesome!! Let's get Russell involved as well as Amman of course. I'm sure he'd be up for hanging out.

Fuck Gypsies. Those obese sons of sodom are worse than negars. They come in to the hospital rolling 5 cars deep to visit relatives dying of self-inflicted cardio-vascular ailments. Which is fine, until they start destroying art work, smoking cigarettes in the hospital plaza lobby, and eating three-course meals in the cafeteria before they reach the cashier.

Personally I do not acknowledge their holocaust. If it indeed did occur, it did nothing to teach these scumbags manners.
