Do you guys refer to any EQ guides when mixing? Or is everything trial and error until you find your niche? I know of the EQ guide on here, I'm just wondering if there is anything better out there.
Eq guides can only be a rough outline of where everything sits in the spectrum of sound we hear. Everything in the signal chain will shift this around a bit. I rely on my ears before a graphic representation of an eq curve or an eq guide based on someone else's raw tracks.
