Sex sells, but you have to have substance to get repeat attention. I think Amarathe has both.
As for the "over produced" part - I don't get it. Maybe because i grew up in the 70's and 80's when production was limited to bands who sold out stadia (Journey, Styx, U2, Kansas) we've gotten used to production from kids and Macontosh computers? I've heard Eliz and Jake live - they sounded then like they sound on this album.
Again, I can bob my head to it, it makes me smile... I'm not looking for Walt Whitman from them. If their set does not have me laughing from joy at the end of it, I will be very surprised. I expect their set to be FUN, not life altering. For that... well, I have high expectations for Primordial.
