Ascendance Records is proud to announce the forthcoming release of Amberian Dawn’s debut album "River of Tuoni" to European territories outside of Finland.

Playing a composite and accomplished form of power/symphonic metal, Amberian Dawn are one of the most promising new bands on the scene. Carried by the flawless vocals of Heidi Parviainen and featuring strong song-writing and crisp production, River of Tuoni is a high quality album sure to please admirers of bands such as Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, Edenbridge and Visions of Atlantis.

Their biography is as follows:
Amberian Dawn is a new Finnish metal band. Their music is melodic, dramatic and powerful metal with female classical vocals. All the members of Amberian Dawn have a quite a long history as musicians and they have played in many different bands. Tuomas Seppälä (keyboards), Heikki Saari (drums), Peter James Goodman (vocals) and Tommi Kuri (bass) played in a band called Virtuocity. As Virtuocity disbanded they started working on songs composed by Tuomas. He started playing guitar, which he mastered as well as playing keyboards. Also Sampo Seppälä (guitar) and Tom Sagar (keyboards) joined to establish Atheme One. Heikki Saari moved soon to a band called Norther and he’s replacement was another young crazy drummer Joonas Pykälä-Aho (Thaurorod, Lathspell).

It was in the summer of 2006 that Tuomas and Tommi decided to start looking for a female classical singer.

After a few weeks search, almost at the same time, they found the same ad - a classical soprano Heidi Parviainen (Iconofear). They listened to her sample and decided to organize a demo session. Heidi turned out to be a perfect match - not only can she sing, she can also write intriguing lyrics. Amberian Dawn was born! After a while Sampo Seppälä (guitar) decided to leave the band due to personal reasons. He’s replacement became a powerful guitarist Kasperi Heikkinen (Guardians of mankind, Merging Flare, Iconofear) and the band grew even stronger.

Both albums will be released through Ascendance Records on 16th June 2008.
