I like the new season of American Gladiators so far, but it just seems so dramatized as if they're trying to turn it into yet another "reality show". I'm probably still going to watch it though.

Old AG was dumb. I don't know if they're trying something that different this time or not, but I will guess that it won't last on the air very long.

The new one is horrible..I don't remember much about the old one, but this "updated version" sucks dick. It's like they fused the WWE, reality TV, and a sports show into one program. uke:
Also, the editing was way too frantic, I don't think a cranked out 16 year old with ADHD could keep up. Anyways, thank god this show probably won't last more than 2 seasons.

This show will last more than two seasons. I was a diehard fan of this shit when I was younger. So much so that I saw it live for my birthday one year. That and the fact that Knight Rider is coming back (KITT a Mustang though?) made my night last night.

Yeah, I used to watch the old one as well. I enjoyed it. I flipped by it a few times last night and it seems the challenges are very similar to the old ones, at least the ones I saw.

audiophileguy and IWP make a good point though. It seems more like a reality show with the way the contestants interact with the hosts. They need to just get down to business and do the events. The introductions are fine, like what they do, height/weight and such, but other than that, it's overkill.

The only people who liked AG were 7-12 year old boys. I remember when that show was on Saturday mornings, and I always watched it. It ruled hard compared to cartoons at the time. I remember there was this guy, "Two Scoops" Williams, or something like that, who pwned AG and won all the big tournaments. Two Scoops was the man.

I didn't catch the new one, but I might for nostalgia some time.

They're doing a new Australian version too. Apparently Anthony Koutafides and Tatiana Gregoriava are in it. I'm not sure if they are contestants or gladiators, though. No doubt it will be shit.

No thanks i'll pass on the new gladiators! When I want to watch cartoons,it will be real cartoons not a human cartoon show.Only good thing about gladiators is I actually lived w/ a cousin that dated a girl who participated in the original gladiators show.She was very in shape/athletic & very gorgeous...saw her sun bathing in the yard a few times.
