Hello, I would like to know what the Anchor/Hammer is on a few of the Amorphis albums? The necklace seen in videos.

What is its meaning Etc?

It's called Thor's hammer. It's an old design the vikings used.

Mjollnir is its name... or Mjolnir... one means snow... the other lightning, which is which I am not sure, but lightning is the one to associate with the hammer.

People wore it to give them strength, for everyday activities, just as Thor was called on to help crop growth or to settle a dispute with a neighbor or something like that.

I want a necklace, but I can't find any good ones, they are all shit and made of wire thin sheet metal... it sucks...

it represents the strength of Thor and it's might
so if it was like the patron deity of a community it meant something like wearing a cross or something
(i read it from a book of compared mythology)
