1: Guns N' Roses "Nightrain"
2: Type O Negative "Black no. 1"
Then there's also these:
Burzum "Det som en gang var", "Burzum" ("Dunkelheit") & "Lost wisdom"
Opeth "Dirge for November"
Guns N' Roses "Coma"
Iron Maiden "To tame a land", "Rime of the ancient mariner", "Mother Russia" & "The nomad"
The Gathering "Leaves"
Soundgarden "4th of July" (I know this doesn't qualify as metal, but I guess GN'R doesn't either)
Satyricon "Dominions of Satyricon" & "Nemesis Divina"
Darkthrone "Hans siste vinter" & "Unholy black metal"
Limbonic Art "Beneath the burial surface"
Paradise Lost "Shades of god"
Emperor "The burning shadows of silence", "Curse you all men!", "The source of Icon E" & "The tongue of fire"
Dimmu Borgir "In death's embrace"
Theatre of Tragedy "On whom the moon doth shine"
The 3rd and the Mortal "Why so lonely"
Pantera "13 Steps" & "Shedding skin"
Enslaved "Entrance/Escape"
Aerosmith "Eat the rich" (although this is hard-rock)
And more or less every song from Type O's "Bloody Kisses", "October rust" & "World coming down" and more or less every song from Opeth's "Blackwater park", "My arms your hearse" & maybe from "Morningrise". There are a bunch more, but I can't recall them right now and I don't want to look through all my records. It takes too long. Skid Row's "Monkey business" is also cool and so is Van Halen's "Hot for teacher"!

I thought the question was about metal classics !? Bands like Soilwork, Symphony X, Children of Bodom etc. may be good, but they certainly do not belong to metal classics !!! What a joke ! Metal classics are Paranoid, the Number of the beast, TNT, Smoke on the Water, the final countdown, We´re not gonna take, the Boys are back in Town etc etc etc .
Cheerz
If this was the case everybody would just post those songs! I think this was a question about what YOU think are the best metal songs, so I listed the songs that I think are the best metal songs I've heard.
