Amott leaves ESP

I used to pronounce it like you said Marcus, but I think it's supposed to be pronounced as in the letter A followed by Mott (as in not but with an M).

Yes... Mike pronounces his name Ah-mott, near as I can remember.

And to answer a question from the previous page. I doubt Gibson would give Mike an endorsement for a few reasons, but mainly because they don't give endorsements out to "underground" guitarists. They don't even give out that many in the mainstream market.

Well if In Flames got it, then I don't think it's impossible for AE.

Try to remember that from a longevity standpoint, In Flames is much easier to market and closer to the "mainstream" than AE. In Flames has also sold about twice the amount of albums AE has.

Who knows... but... I might buy one of those just to own one... If I know Gibson (and I do), they won't sell that bad boy for very long.

I wish I had the cash to buy guitars just to own....

Even still Shred v= Vomit.

Well, truth be told, I don't have the money to just throw at it either... but I can try to pick up some extra work to get it at some point. I kind of still want to get the '84 reissue Silverburst first, though.

Although i am a big Dean fan, i would like to see Mike go to Caparison on account of they wont just try make him the most marketable guitar possible (ex. Razorbacks, Dave Mustaine Sigs). Anywho, Who's psyched for the Carcass Reunion?!

Saw Carcass live two days ago. Amott played his Esp sig. Both guitarists started playing on 5150. During the gig Amott switched to Mesa Boogie.
