Amp Gas

This amp is awesome!
I wish I could make ampsims sound something like this.
(Maybe with the TSE X50 v2.0? Sorry for the offtopic! Enjoy your great gear!)

Yesss give in to the hunger!

Amps are addicting. So many flavors. Every one of them inspires to do something you wouldn't do on another (but some more than others of course). Have fun with your newest noise machine!

haha, i know that feeling man! :D

i own an axe fx II but i am gasing for a 5150 II 50W since it was released.
the only reason i didn't buy one is the fact that i can't crank it up in my apartment :(

I'm guessing MIDI + Small Size > Separate Controls for you Drew, and that this head is a backup/second recording option to the JVM Satch? When I read the title I wondered if you'd gone for that s/h 100 watter from Richtone.

Looking forward to hearing some clips.

I did slightly fancy going for that 100 watter from Richtone, but the 50-watt has the three channels, is smaller and about 6kg lighter than the Satch JVM. So yeah, good backup, good recording option, and I have the possibility of doing some stuff in stereo.

Contemplating two 2x12's versus a single 4x12 for gigs. I already have an ENGL vertical 2x12 which I really dig, so might pickup another vertical 2x12 at some point.

a lot of sound for not so much moneyz, and also far enough power for gigging.
Awesome choice, have fun! I always have fun with it when I get my hands on one (luckily 3 of my friends already have that beast haha)

I too own an Axe FX II, and out of all the amps I can choose to play through in the Axe, the 5150 III is one of my top choices. I'm constantly going back and forth between the original 5150 model and the III.

I think if I ever wanted to purchase the real deal, I'd have to go with a 5150 III myself.

Nice choice and congrats!

Yeah it should arrive tomorrow! Can't wait. Only thing I am really bothered by at the moment is my live effects. I have single pedals, and it's all good on the sound front. But I don't really have a good way to switch them in and out via midi, as well as my amp channels. I bought a Line 6 M13 but the unit has AWFUL latency when switching the scenes... so much so that it's basically unusable as a controller. Not sure what to do on that front, other than stick with individual pedals and continue the dreaded tap dance.

Great amp choice! Bought mine 6 months ago - honeymoon stage still going strong!

I feel your pain in regards to tap dancing. Check out RJM's effects gizmo & mini effects gizmo - awesome piece of gear! Although you will need a midi controller for it. Voodo labs has a few options for pedal switching as well.
