Amp mods

I also like having less compression in rhythm sounds and more in lead sounds - that usually involves having fewer tubes working harder (filtered, of course, to reduce unnecessary fizz) in the rhythm section and more tubes getting driven less in the lead channel, but since I don't use tubes I've never had to worry about reworking preamp sections in those things.

Another big seller is transformer replacement - especially in cheaper tube amps. Again, not something I can say much about from my own experience, but I see sales tickets and that seems to be a popular one.

Not a bad idea, call it the 'Gain Shaper' and you've just revolutionized tube amps.

I'd still like a solid state amp that doesn't try to be tube-ish, but that's because I fucking hate tubes.

Seriously - I've been dying to have this in an amp ever since I got into having a TS in there.

Or shit, just a TS applicable to the drive channels, but is bypassed for the cleans.

me too,
i thought about trying to intergrate my 808 and my ns2 into my 5150's filth channel a couple oif months back
