Amp sim harsness? And Mix advice

Hi guys,

A did another song with amp sims (I don't have an amp). I always find that amp sims are always brittle and harsh sounding. How much do you low pass exactly?

And I would be glad if you can give some more advice on this noob mix:

I usually low pass guitars with a 6db slope between 8k and 12k.
It sounds like there's a lot of clipping in your mix, especially in the high gain guitars, so fixing that will help a lot. Also, try a different cabinet sim, I've had a lot of success with Catharsis' spreshigh and spres8.
