Amp to PC - Strange problem

I've posted at gear sluts with many reading, but just one answer..
And this question has been posted on other forums aswell.. but no solution..

To add some info:
I now have the parts: small box, cap (kondensator), resistors and RCA-panel etc..

Not sure if the picture I made is good or not, you'll see it at the bottom of the page I linked to..

To make a short summary:
I have two combo guitar-amps (a Peavey anda Crate).. I made them into heads..
Crate has always worked with my soundcard, the Peavey has never worked.
They both work with speakers and headphones..
I had a m-audio 24/96.. Crate's headphone output worked fine directly to line-in.. Got the m-audio 1010LT (same pc, same hardware), doesn't work anymore..

I have better/different stuff.. But I still want to use them..
So.. hopefully we have some electricians here..!

So you have two amps, one of them always worked with your old interface, the other didn't. Now none of them work with your new interface, did I get that right?

I don't understand your question properly. What happens when you go direct now? No sound at all?

Yes, you got it right, excuse the crappy explanation..
Now when I go direct there's not sound..
But I can connect a very small speaker to the headphone output and there's sound.. I can connect headphones.. and there's sound.. but direct = no sound.. tried going through my DI box = no sound..
Doesn't matter if I have their original speaker connected or not.. but that didn't matter with the 24/96 card.. :S

Hopefully I'll be able to use them both.. but.. at least I want to use the Crate..

The "Solution" someone mentioned (but isn't sure about) is that above..
Don't know if it'll work or if it's a bad idea..

I don't see why that would cause you to get no sound with a new interface. To be honest, I wouldn't bother with all of that, the explanation on GS seems kinda like a guess.

It's weird that I can't get sound, haven't put the 24/96 back in to try..
Since I got the parts.. I'll guess I'll make a little box and see if it works with either the Peavey.. or the crate.. So I don't have to scrap'em
