Has anyone tried one ? how good is it for metal? A few influences of mine are: Novembre, Opeth, Nevermore, Soilwork, Meshuggah, 70s prog rock..

I noticed on VHT's site that Unearth were sponsored by VHT and are touring with Deliverances... but I never really liked the studio sound of Unearth (at least on Stings of Conscience) and never really had the opportunity to hear them live... so I would like to hear anything about them. :)

p.s: I am going to testdrive a 5150 with an ISP Decimator pedal and an ESP M-II loaded with EMGs...maybe I'll find the right amp/gear combination for me tomorrow :)

I've seen Unearth live, One guy was using a Framus and the other was using a Mesa Rec into a VHT cab..... But that was a while ago, they may have changed thier setup...

Opeth uses Laney, Soilwork used to use 5150's if I remember correctly, now uses Krank.

Thanks but I was trying to know more about VHT Deliverance since I am not going to be able to catch one to test in my country...

Last weekend I tried both Peavey 5150 (combo) and a Laney GH100L (head through a Laney 4x12), both with an ISP Decimator and a Maxon OD-808 through an ESP M-II Vintage and my opinions:

5150: Was great, it was everything I was expecting it to be.
laney: Kinda dull without the Maxon pedal in front of it, but I hadn't much time to play with it, cuz the studio owners replaced the laney tube fusion they had in there just about the time I was leaving.
