Hi!
Does anyone know is it possible to connect a 16ohms Marshall bass cabinet with Ampeg SVT 4 Pro head?

What wattage can the 16ohm cab take? How many speakers is it? Is it two 16ohm speakers which actually means an 8ohm load, or is it a 1 speaker cab with 16ohms? And why is this in the bar and not in the backline section? Hahaha

You can find the watts it sends (and other stuff) in the instruction manual here: http://www.ampeg.com/pdf/SVT4PRO_OM.pdf but it's important to know the watts the cab can take at 16ohm

It's a 4x12 Marshall bass cabinet. Read the manual 2 times already. :dopey:

Assuming the Marshall can handle the wattage the Ampeg puts out then yes.

The cab is 400watts.

It'll be fine. Like pretty much every cab paired with a 4 Pro (unless you're running more than one 8x10) just watch the volume.

Apparently, connecting 16ohms with this bass head is not recommended by Ampeg support. So I rented 2 different cabs for profiling.
