I really learned to like Amplitube Metal the last few weeks. The 5150-model with the metal distortion-pedal in front and Recabinet sound really tight and huge and I didn't found it very digital-sounding.

Whatever ... today my Metal Amp Room-license and iLok arrived.

It extracted fine for me and installed fine. I'm not using yet as I'm busy watching the USA beat the hell out of Finland, but will give it a go later.

Seems pretty cool to me after a little doodling aroung - maybe even better than Metal amp room, which was my favourite in high gain setting so far.

sounds really really really nice. The Orange OR clone sounds great too for some distorted rock tones

Best tone I've found so far: TS -> 5150 -> Orange 4x12 cab wit an AKG414 on the edge of cone and dustcap. the sm57 emulation kinda sucks imo

damn, those pedal emulations sound really close to the originals. Especially the RAT and the Small stone

It's pretty annoying that we were told it would be released this week, which i happened to have completely off from work,
Im sat here waiting for it all week, then the night before i go back to work it's finally released and even at that there is no sign of my license yet.

Yeah, it plays fine. I've just never seen that before.

Quite a bit more than AT2 and Metal, but not a stupid amount of CPU; plus you can turn on the Economy feature when mixing.
