I have a Vox combo amp I got off my friend for $100, think it goes for about $240. Has a wide range of settings (blues, funk, clean, 70's rock, 80's rock, fuckin' metal), decent distortion, and whatnot. Also has a bunch of onboard effects (autowah, phaser, rotary, chorus, flanger, reverb, and delay). All useless (except maybe reverb) but fun to futz with. 30 watts, looks good. I think it actually has a small tube in it or something, so it's not entirely solid state. This is what my friend told me. So, if you're looking for a small practice amp, this thing is pretty damn decent.
