An attempt at that glorious Iced Earth sound

The title says it all, really. Comments, suggestions, rants about how Schaffer hasn't come up with a new riff in ten years, it's all welcome.

Specific points I'd love to hear about:

- The clean guitars are actually an SM57 pointed at the neck of my Schecter blended with the neck pickup. I think the overall sound is pretty good, but any ideas for minimizing the percussiveness of the pick attack would be rad.

- The bass tone, and the overall bottom end. I don't have much experience with bass guitar, and I don't have a subwoofer so I'm really guessing at the levels/EQ.

yea it sounds like iced earth, but your entire mix sounds like its going through a tube (and not a musical tube. like a tube you bought at home depot). strange.
