Just discovered these guys, they are from California and play what many reviews call "extreme progressive metal" (I hate the whole extreme label, just sounds so lame). They combine death, black, and thrash metal, but also throw in some metalcore (reminds me of Between the Buried and Me), jazz, and progressive rock. The vocalist has a wide range, from death growls to black metal style to clean vocals. The musicianship is incredible on all levels. Plus I love that they are staunch atheists and have intelligent lyrics dealing with the subject.

They have two albums, I've only given their recent album "The Burial Tree" a listen. It took a couple listens, but now I can't stop listening.
