I was messing around earlier trying to get a similar tone to AJFA (I know a lot of people hate it but I like it) so after reading a load of bullshit on the net that didn't really make any difference I thought id just mic up the boogie and experiment.

Got the guitars down, started with the drums (a really quick attempt) and thought "Dang this is actually sounding quite decent".

So anyway its just one riff off Justice but with a Black album style mix since thats just what kinda came out.

By the way this was an experiment so I kinda went OTT. There is 8 guitars on this in various positions and 80% of this is a Dual Recto. (Settings were nothing like what I usually go for but...fuck it)

Apologies for the boring riff, I might have to develop the idea into more of a tune or something but for now, my rip off...and a quick one at that!

Damn, you nailed the guitars. Drums sound a bit too low for metallica Also the kick needs more "click" compared to the black album.

The snare is the black album snare off of Sad But True

Ill ave another blast around with it today, getting the kick a bit closer.

I recorded the guitars usual way...well in the sense of 57 up to the Framus, but it was just in my room so it was against a wall and I didnt bother with the noise gate since I thought it would turn out like shit. So there is a lot of hum to go with it.

Tracks were recto with a MXR 10 band EQ panned.....100% L/R 80%L/R, 50% L/R then 2 tracks of clean panned 20% L/R with a JCM900 VST thing on top with a disgraceful AC/DC crunch mixed low. All the others are up at full volume.
