I'm not sure what to think about this. It's definitely different, and that's a plus. :loco:

Babymetal announced that they would make their debut appearance in the United Kingdom at the Sonisphere Festival 2014, scheduled to perform their set in the Bohemia tent on July 6, 2014. Could progpower be their next stop?

It's interesting that people are trying something different. I haven't had time to check 'em out in much detail, but it might be something my kids will like. My oldest digs Lacuna Coil, Evanescence, Volbeat, some Touchstone, and Dio era Sabbath (especially the "witch song" Lady Evil haha), among other things. She was also into Bubble Pop by Hyuna, so I don't think J-Pop's that much of a stretch.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to convince her of King Diamond's greatness, though I did listen to Them last night.

np: Persona Grata: Edge of Insanity (this is some great stuff)

I like aspects of their music, think they're very talented, very intelligent and like that they're trying something new and different, but the very abrupt changes and composed opposites (like silly innocent lyrics and cheerleader dressed little girls with aggressive darker sounds) combined with the flashing lights and movements make my senses feel incredibly assaulted like it was a sound/light weapon or something, and not just for targeting seizures. It's like hypnotic, disorienting and makes me feel very uneasy. Think the girls are focused on the talent of it while others as indicated in the 2:01 mark http://youtu.be/ENZu85ug5K4 are working behind the scenes to direct how they want it presented, marketed and put out to the public. But if you do a search for sound weapon like LRAD and the principles talked about here http://www.cracked.com/article_18828_the-creepy-scientific-explanation-behind-ghost-sightings.html and here http://www.nbcnews.com/id/3077192/#.U1pH81e_e5I regarding low frequency sound and how it effects people, you can see it's both interesting and disturbing. One of my favorite bands (no longer around) named Sea of Dreams did a fusion sound similar to this in that it would abruptly change styles like changing TV channels, but it didn't have this kind of crazy dynamic going on.
