Angra and a reunited Conception.

Greatest PP lineup ever in my estimation.

ANGRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So what you're saying now is that I get TWO out of my top three bands/albums of 2004 playing in the same weekend, same festival????

...and Jesus wept.... :worship:

I've never heard any Conception believe it or not. I just read that it's the same guitarist from ARK!!! Fuck me, this just gets better and better.

er....Dark One...with regards to me not having heard any Conception....can you do that thing that we do.....you know.... *cough*

Let's see...

Friday:

Angra 11:30 - close
Conception 9:30 - 11:00
Orphaned Land 8:00 - 9:00
Circus Maximus 6:45 - 7:30
Manticora 5:30 - 6:15

Saturday:

Stratovarius 11:30 - close
Therion 9:30 - 11:00
Pink Cream 69 8:00 - 9:00
Symphorce 6:45 - 7:30
Stride 5:30 - 6:15

Friday is so going to blow away Saturday it's not even funny.

Yeah, Friday >> Saturday! He should've swapped Stride and Strat out to balance it a little....but who cares....damn cool line up for a festival weekend.

Don't forget Orphaned Land playing an acoustic set at the pre-party too.

Conception!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder if the reunion will last long enough to coax another studio album from the Norwegians.

I had to sign on, just to reply to this news and say, FUCK YES!

I own Conception's entire catalogue. Good stuff, especially the last two, which are fantastic. This is such an amazing get for Glenn. And Angra had my #2 disc of 2004. Indeed, best line up ever. Although, Friday is the vastly superior of the two evenings.

Alright, the ice in my cuba libre is melting. And since I don't care for watered down Cuban rum, I have to split. Talk to you fuckers in another week.

Zod

The funny thing is, I would have logged in from vacation for this info as well.

I had Orphaned Land at #1 and Angra at #3. It's like Glenn just came to RC to decide who to get. :loco:

How weird....the metal planes of existence are in harmony these days. The community has focus! We are one!!

:kickass:

HOLA SENIOR ZOD! Totally agreed with everyone about Friday night - I even have a great feeling about Circus Maximus. NOT TO MENTION THE ORPHANED LAND ACOUSTIC SET ON THURSDAY THANKS TO NIGHTWISH CANCELLING!!! WHOO-HOOO!!!!

Sounds to me like Friday is the night to have someone saving seats all night (ala Progpower III) and you better not pull a Wuthering Heights on my ass again ZOD, LOL!! Classic line from last year by Zod while he was hanging and relaxing with everyone after he left the Wuthering Heights show and didn't come back, while I was still saving his seats while sitting alone for most of the set: "Well Dark One....if it makes you feel any better, I felt bad about it."

Ok, Friday, I watch every show, then drink. Saturday I watch some of Stride, if I enjoy it, I stay, if not I hang at the bar until Pink Cream 69, at which point I party it up, then watch a little Therion and probably hang out at the bar some more, then go nuts for my apparently "guilty" pleasure in Stratovarius, then take it from there because anything can and will happen. Oh yeah, there's also Thursday which shall rule as well. Less than 7 months to go. Bring it the fuck on!!!!

The Friday night line up is absolutely incredible.

Man, more folks from RC should go! It is SO much fun, even if you're not a huge fan of the bands (although how anyone couldn't enjoy Orphaned Land is beyond me - it's too stunning for words). Small yet pristine venue, cool vendors selling CDs, and the hottest chick you'll ever see at a metal show selling beer. :heh: Let me see if I can dig out a picture of her....

My experience from PPIII -- the best part was staying up all night at the hotel with fans and bands, and every one keeping their door open to fridges full of beer....and then crashing Jon Schaffers room and watching people get into a liberal vs. nazi debate. :loco:

Re: Conception vs. Kamelot....no idea! BUT I can tell you that I am loving Ostby's work with ARK as of late. It's my latest jizzfest CD these days.

Plus Kamelot were ok up to Karma, then they just became arse IMO. Conception are some supposed cult prog band where they only released 4 CDs to much acclaim.
