andrew w.k 'she is beutiful' cover

i knew and liked the original before i listened to the Bodom cover [some friends sang it for me at my last birthday party cuz they knew i really like that song; it was quite hilarious especially in the "she is beautiful, she is beautiful; na-na-na-na-nanana-na" part:D], and to be quite honest i really liked Bodom's version too. :D it's a fun song, and even though it isn't typical Bodom, i think it's pretty cool.:D maybe it doesn't have the deepest lyrics or the best overall musical structure in the world, but it's a fun song...and as dilema1362 said, Bodom was "able to take hold of that fun loving spirit".........cuz after all, Bodom may be heavy/death/black metal or whatever you all want to classify them as, but that doesn't mean the guys can't have some fun!:D

Hey... outsider to the Bodom forum, just browsing to see if anyone was at the Pittsburgh show when I happened upon this thread.

As a monstrous AWK and Bodom fan, I was pumped for the cover. But I was totally disappointed with it - I wanted to hear it Bodomized! Where were the double kick sections, the instrumental harmonies, and the key/guitar duels? It didn't even sound like Bodom. The AWK version kills it, it's much more powerful.

I'm very happy to see 'em cover a "party song" like this... They knew it would rise some controversy and yet they covered the song... It just gives some variation to the ep. I like to see an unexpected song being covered rather than just some solid, unerring COB-cover of some metal classic.
