Angel Witch

I see the self titled disc on ebay...I may put a bid down and see what happens. I'm kind of on that NWOBHM kick. Venom, Diamond Head, even the early Def Leppard stuff. I'd like to find some Angel Witch and Tygers of Pan Tang. I'm searching ebay and the used bins..................

The reissue of Angel Witch's debut (came out about two years ago on Sanctuary) almost doubles up the number of songs on the album with bonus tracks, so that would be worth an investment. I ain't listened to it for ages but I do recall enjoying it :)

np: Burzum - Jesus' Tod

Who can tell me about these guys? I know they were a major influence on Mustaine...are they worth hunting down and picking up???

The first album is a must if you're into the NWOBHM sound. After that they went through breakups and MANY member changes and were never as good in my opinion. Go to http://www.bnrmetal.com and check out the info they have on them, it's a great place for info on older bands. Look at the current members of Angel Witch now, ex-members of Heathen and Laaz Rockit... kinda strange.

While we're talking about Angel Witch, does anyone here know Tytan? They formed about 1982 with the other two guys from the original Angel Witch lineup, Les Binks and two other guys. I have the issue of Kerrang where they appeared in the Armed & Ready section...with a lineup like that I'd've thought they'd've been announced with a better fanfare, but ho hum...anyone know 'em?

The Rough Justice album is more melodic and less dark than Angel Witch, without losing its NWOBHM touch.
Interesting stuff, if not outstanding.

Worth picking up Rough Justice y'all think? How hard is it to track down? Bloody difficult I'd imagine :D

Their debut is awsome! One of the best NWOBHM albums ever, and their live album from 1990 is also pretty solid.

A must be in a metal collection.
