Original post:

Hey guys, i'm Greg, the guitarist in Angeldeath. We're from Albany, NY, and are a death metal band. Not technical death metal, not brutal death metal, just straight up old school classic death metal, with a lot of Slayer/Immortal/thrash influences. Basically like old Morbid Angel, Immortal, old Death, Krisiun, Incantation, Deicide... see for yourself, maybe you can better categorize us, haha.

anyway, we broke up in 2004, but are now BACK, and I'd like to give out our latest CD for FREE to everybody. It was recorded in August of 2004 at Max Trax Studios in Albany, NY when we were all like 18 and just graduated from high school.

so here's the tracks, just click the link and it brings you to a page to download the tracks. they're .wma's.

Call of the Ghoul is a fast blasting thrashy number, reminiscent of late 80's/early 90's death metal when thrashy grooves were still very much an integral part of the style.

Curse of Enthrallment is truly original EPIC song, the longest of the 4 at over 7 minutes, it winds through all sorts of metal territories, touching on everything from Necrophobic to Suffocation to Krisiun, all leading up to an EPIC metal climax, and throwing curveballs, but all the while FLOWING perfectly together.

The Black Gate is the only song without blast beats. Its a short fast little thrash ditty with a rocking gallop segment.

Unholy Ceremonies is true death metal song, probably my favorite, and touches on all sorts of themes... from blasting Formulas-era Morbid Angel, long runs of double bass grooving, then back into unique wacked out Formulas riffing, leading up to my FAVORITE section of music... the "chorus". You'll see. Its fucking BADASS. omg yes. I get so excited talking about it. I can't fucking wait for you to hear it. UNNNNNNNNHOLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYY CEREMONIESSSSSSS!!!!! YESSSS. and then onwards into a Slayer epic chug-to-gallop groove section, before blasting back off for one mind-fuck of an ending.

PLEASE tell me what you guys think. THank you!!!!! :headbang:
