...and it's the new TANK-War Nation, their second one with new vocalist Doogie White (who also sang on 2010's War Machine). Sure, those expecting the "punky" Tank of old will be disappointed, but for those wanting a classic heavy metal album, you'll be happy I guess.

Check out sound samples for all songs there: http://www.tankofficial.com/music.cfm

And the title track is streaming entirely there:

Change the band name already!!! Tank is not Tank without Algy. I hate to be one of those but it's such a big sound difference, it's ridiculous. I know they do it for name recognition but still...I just find it disrespectful.

Disrespectful to who? I guess Thin Lizzy shouldn't be named Thin Lizzy either, right? Hell, Black Sabbath's sound changed big time from Ozzy to Dio...they should've changed their name too!!!! If only bands would just listen to the sage advice of fans...perfection!
BTW- the last Tank cd was excellent....I look forward to this new one.

Doogie White's vocals have never done anything for me....He was GOD AWFUL when I saw him live "singing" for Yngwie Malmsteen, just BUTCHERED the older material...BUTCHERED

When I saw Doogie with Yngwie, I couldn't tell how he sounded because Yngwie's guitar was so unbelievably loud, it completely drowned him out. I've always thought Doogie sounds terrific on his studio stuff....I've been a fan ever since I heard him with Rainbow.

In that case, Iced Earth would have a different band name on almost every album.

Never had the chance to see Doogie live, but always thought he had a killer voice on every CD he sang on that I heard. And I watched some YouTube live clips and he sounded really good as well.

No, because Iced Earth always has had a similar sound. Sure, the singers may sound different but musically, it sounds like the same band. This does not.

I would certainly say that Night Of The Stormrider and Crucible Of Man sound VASTLY different in many ways. Tons of bands choose to evolve their sound, for better or worse. They shouldn't be expected to start over with a new name just because some fans have hang ups about it. If you don't like it, no one is forcing you to listen to it, you know?

Because at an Yngwie concert, Yngwie expects you to have paid to see how Yngwie jerks off a guitar, the singing is tertiary (Even though they have some great material.)

As for Tank...meh.

I guess then IRON MAIDEN should've changed their name after Paul Di'Anno was booted. I wonder what happened to them after they got that Bruce guy to sing for them.:)
