another kicksample for you

Sounds awesome. Thank you kindly.

What are the details of the drum that you used for the sample? Size/heads/tuning(batter+reso)?

I think the Starclassic kicks I've heard and collected through the years have been some of my favorite. Very curious to get my hands on one personally to dork with.

I've recently picked up an Audix D6 to use with my Sonor 20" (3005 model), and it has a great low end thud to it, but it's seriously lacking that high end SNAP that this sample has. I want it. :D

what for?
my usual brick inside of it (important ingedient), a pillow....

Never saw this topic before, cheers for the sample.

Slightly OT but, I know an engineer who used to put bricks in the kick drum and the bands would always come in and ask why he did it, so he told the bands that they were special "acoustic bricks", that they would drastically improve the quality of the kick drum sound and that they could buy them for £5 a pop (thinking he could make a quick buck out of it).

Thing was though, the bands drummers actually started pinching the bricks from the drumkit after the sessions and taking them home with them.

So the lesson is, never trust a drummer with your special "acoustic bricks" or they might just end up going missing
