hey dudes, Im sorry to start another damn mac thread. 
but I am in need of a computer upgrade and have decided to sell my soul to the devil once again for the next few years.
anyways, Im not so keen on the idea of buying a mac from apple, because I dont think they deserve that much of my hard earned cash.
my budget is around 1500 bucks CAN maximum.
So I have kinda decided that instead of buying the Imac with i7 processor i`ll get a used MAC PRO (2.66 quad core xeon circa 2007), even if it is an older machine.
so heres my debacle: Is it more advantageous to have the newer "nehalem" xeon processor, over the older xeon 2.66 ghz model circa 2006-8? and if so, does that advantage outweigh the advantage of having the extra expandability of a mac pro?
this is really where I`m stumped. I guess I`m looking for mac pro owners to speak up and say they have never been happier
