Another misplaced thread that needs to go on the Opeth Forum

Sorry, internets got fucked and I accidently put this up twice via overclicking.

Sucks they didn't take this show on tour. I'd actually pay for to see that setlist.

Good friend of mine went to one of those shows and even though she's a total Opeth maniac, she also said it was quite lengthy at points.

I hate opeth with a passion but yeah why wouldn't they take it on tour? Megadeth did pretty well I assume with their Rust In Peace tour and if those 6 dates sold out months in advance Opeth could've done really well too. Do they have plans coming up or something or do they just like being douches and making it hyper exclusive haha

It's so weird hearing you talk about all the bands you hate because I love them all, yet the bands you praise to death I can't fucking stand

It's a mystery to my why anyone would waste time and money to go watch washed up Megadeth try to remain relevant.

It's just a tad too rare... 25 more seconds on the grill would perfect it.

Heard Advent the one time I saw em live. Well, the live edit because they had to cram like 6 songs into 45 minutes or whatever it was. It was still a good set. There was one other Morningrise track in the set... The Night and the Silent Water I think. Could have been Nectar, but I doubt it. The hell with my memory anyway.

Looks like roadkill. I'd never eat that :ill:

thats one thing we agree on haha! I like my meat medium or medium rare if it's done right and closer to medium; pink and juicy in the middle is good but when it bleeds its fucking gross. Once I made a burger myself and I guess I didn't defrost it enough so when I cut it open after making the whole burger and was splitting it, the inside still looked almost ground beef-ish and while it wasn't cold or anything so I could've eaten it safely but it was bleeding like fuck so I just threw that shit back on the frying pan again.

That was easily one of the best shows I've been to. Flawless playing. Only downsides were two or three quick bits of harsh feedback and lacking acoustics in the place (I was in the center toward the back of the floor so it was better there than on the balconies), but that's not the band's fault.

Spoke to Åkerfeldt after the show and he says he only has one song written and he still hasn't gotten it in order yet.

Really? Watershed was my favorite record from them in years - I really hope they go all in for a complete and utter metal mindfuck next time around.

Get SW and Jens in the studio to do a deathmetal version of Scott Walker's The Drift (as Mikael's original intention with Watershed), and I'll spooge my pants.

...getting hard just thinking about it....
