I was looking for an English Metal Community because I want to improve my English skills.
I'll turn 17 this summer and I live in Austria.
I'm a fan of metal music since...four years, I started with Nu Metal bands like Korn and Slipknot, but soon I realized that these bands are just whiny my-life-sucks-so-i-have-to-curse-all-the-time-Bands and there are bands out there which are much better than the ones I had been listening to.
My favourite metal subgenres are (Melodic-)Death, Symphonic, Gothic, Doom, Progressive, Thrash and a bit Black.
My all-time favourite bands are Opeth and old(!) In Flames, because those were the bands which got me into "real" metal.
I also enyjoy listening to Soundtracks, especially those composed by Hans Zimmer, John Williams and Alan Menken, and other kinds of music, save Hip Hop and Techno and that kind of stuff (i hate it!)
I'm also a huge Sherlock holmes fan
My hobbies besides listening to music are reading, watching movies, going for walks in the woods, drawing, going to concerts with my friends etc.
I hope I will find many interesting bands here!
