mics.........57edge of dust cap 1"off grill / senn 421 center of dust cap 1" off grill
focusrite isa 210 was the pre's /i bypassed my firepod and went straight to the apogee ad16x for conversion...
cab was a peavey valve king SLANTED CAB , miced at 2 differnt SPEAKERS
i paid attention, and got the phase right on the mics before recording to avoid doing it in the mix. i used a set of iso headphones splitting the channels left and right and positing the mics while listening to the noise of the amp for the most clarity.....
not sure the exact blend but im pretty sure its close to 50/50
processing was ssl ch strip eq, bypassed dynamics,hp 60, lp 12k boosted 1db at 80 hz, less than a db a cut at 3.5k, 2 db boost at 8k, and c4 sneap setting to clear up the bottom end just a bit.....

I think the vocals are too loud. Kind of makes the rest of the mix sound very small. Synths are also a little loud. Drums and guitars need to come up imo.

Yeah guitars and drums definitely need to come up. I also think the bass guitar might need to come up as well. I feel the mix is lacking a bit in bass.

sounds pretty damn good...seems like some of the tom fills get a little buried, but aside from that i'd have no qualms with this mix if i was the band
