This is the first I've heard of this. What happened to Jay?
For about a year of High School, all I listened to was Run-DMC.
Run-DMC created rap/metal. All their old stuff has sweet metal guitar licks.
And the excellent sounds provided by Jam Master Jay.
This news SUCKS.

I think that might have been a typo, not that he cant spell his name Greg.
I'm glad I got to see Run DMC this summer at music midtown in atlanta. Your right you would not expect any one from DMC to be involved in this kind of thing. Its probably a random act of senseless violence and not any kind of gang or Rap related thing, I hope anyway.

it seems like some punx broke into the studio in Queens were Jam was laying trax for the new album, and he got shot in the head twice, he was there with a friend with some Japanese sounding name I forgot, who was shot in the knee!
Jam died on the scene of the crime right after the shooting!

This Sucks! I remember listening to Run DMC when I was in 5th Grade and thinking they were so Fucking awsome. God I am old. The reason I remeber thias is because we went to the State capital for a field trip, and Jammed out to them all the way there and back.
