Another rock supergroup!!

PLANET US To Begin Recording Debut - Jan. 8, 2003

PLANET US — the new rock supergroup featuring Neal Schon (guitar, JOURNEY), Sammy Hagar (vocals, ex-VAN HALEN), Deen Castronovo (drums, JOURNEY) and Michael Anthony (bass, VAN HALEN) — are scheduled to enter a San Francisco Bay Area studio this week to begin recording their debut album for a late 2003 release.

"We are supposed to start around the 9th of January," Schon told Melodicrock.com. "I've been at home writing and demoing material for the guys to check out. We were going to try to get started to early in December, but, when Deen came into town, he had a terrible bacterial infection in his finger and was not able to pound the skins. But I just spoke to him and he's ready to go. I spoke to Mike Anthony and he's also ready and so is Sammy... Should be cool! I've got some nice tunes brewing. And yes, it will be a full CD — a conceptual CD."

The name of the band is pretty naff though.

ive got an mp3 of theirs that was recorded at a 'suprise' show they played last year, its called 'Vertigo', its not bad. im looking forward to an album!

'Vertigo' was suppose to be on the Spiderman soundtrack but it never happened...
