antares microphone modeler any good?

i was wondering about this thing a while back.

i was thinking i'd shuv up some cheap over heads and see if i can make it sound like it was record with some nice expensive ones. the quality wouldnt be any differant but i supose it just changes the natural EQ curve to match the mic you select. if that makes sence:S
GRRR

stupid girls and their greasy hair making all the college keyboards and mouses greasy. its making me sick!

It´s a nice thing to do some special eq curves you wouldn´t get otherwise. I love it. It´s easy to handle and sounds quite good.

i've used it before. never really did much for me. you might as well just use impulses, what it does is it let's you select the mic you used, applies a reverse e.q. curve to make it flat and then applies the e.q. curve of whatever mic you wish....but really, it's jsut sort of a gimmick imo...jsut get the damn mic you wanted in the first place!
