The UK is basically a fucking joke for Metalfests, even Graspop is better this year. Would it kill the guys who put on Donnington to get Kreator or someone who doesn't blow?
I saw that Download footage, was nice to relive a hazy memory. It didn't show many of the bands that I wanted to see but I enjoyed "Antisocial" and the bits of interview with Charlie and Joey.
After the download stuff there was a SOAD show. Never been that bothered about them before but they were great on this, a really tight band - it's nice to hear a modern metal band that can really play
totally agree on that one dude-friday at download fuckin sucked big time-if it wasnt for megadeth it would have been a right piss poor day.the only reason they made it a three day event in my opinion was purley a money grabbing scam.they could have easily compiled it into a two dayer instead we got to endure shit like "THE OTHERS"-i mean for fucks sake since when did the indy scene sit along side metal even feeder are fuckin stretchin it.bring back the monsters of rock-1day and at least nine real metal bands all on one stage get up in the morning mosh all day and then crawl back half dead at the end of it-just the fuckin ticket!!!!DiscipleOfThePit said:

Oh and the second part of the Download footage was on last night, nice to see Slayer getting some TV exposure.

Haha, yeah! I watched them on TV last night and, frankly, they bored the arse off me! I don't really watch or listen to music channels on TV or read any music magazines apart from, occasiobally, Classic Rock magazine and Zero Tolerance magazine so I'm not all that up to speed on who was playing at Download. I hear nothing but good things about System of a Down and when I saw them it was just utter crap.
I find it funny that Funeral for a Friend was the secret band. I only really know them from seeing them open for Maiden back in December '03 and they were just shockingly bad!
I really do wish that someone would put on a music festival in Britian that boasts a line up similar to that of Wacken Open Air or something. I was actually sickened by the pits that Trivium were getting: there are some bands that should not be moshed to and Trivium is one of them.

I watched that, and as soon as anthrax came i couldnt believe it. Im not a reunion supporter, but i decided to give it a shot but fuk me, it doesnt deserve it. joey sounded crap (when you could actually hear him over scott, any particular reason for that?) and there didnt seem to be any knid of friendly atmoshere between the band. even my girlfriend said they seem to have lost their 'spark' and her only anthrax live experience has been MOMD.And she actually prefers the joey material, so go figure.
I know i wasnt there in person and everything, but MOMD captured the band perfectly sound, performance and plain damn fun wise so why couldnt this?

Most of these festival highlight shows have bad live mixes of the bands, no-one gets special attention paid to them.

Is it me or are SOAD 15% thrash and 85% gay? i mean what the fuck are they on, its like the songs only get started in the last few seconds. FUCK SOAD, S.O.D and Sgt D piss all over this shit. Kids today have no idea what hardcore is. My chemical romance??? is this download or fuckin sunday school. HIM = GAY.
