Oh please let this be true!

"During a recent interview with Megadeth's frontman Dave Mustaine with 24ur.com, Mustaine revealed that Anthrax will be part of some shows on the American Carnage Tour alongside Slayer and Megadeth. Important they use momentum gathered from these tours - assuming rumour is true - to get the new record out and capitolise, although no-one seems to be in any hurry. Not saying they should hurry, either, but not hearing anything about the record being worked on either. I get the feeling though that this is the priority for Charlie more than anyone else.

Nowadays, album releases take a backseat to touring. There's not much money in album sales, so why make it a priority? Still, it's been an eternity since WCFYA, and the state of the band seems pretty stale without new songs.

Why make it a priority? Cause metal fans aren't going to invest money into tickets and merch continually on the back of old records. New material = new merch and tour opportunities and promo stuff = $$.
