Anthrax: What Doesn't Die

Right now there are no plans for a Volume 8 re-release. The rights to it were owned by Ignition Records, which subsequently went bankrupt and out of business, so Thrax can't do anything with it at this point in time.

And Thrax is anything but dead...they've only gotten better with John Bush...he's one of the best vocalists in metal currently. Unfortunately, they've lost their star status after a couple of bad or unlucky label decisions that essentially kept the public from hearing some of the best metal put out in the 90's. Hopefully they'll get some more support from the new label, and 2003 will see them come for us all :D

They stooped to be a Thrash Metal band and become a Heavy Metal band, a good one, but totally different from early Anthrax, so to pass judgement on whose style was best, will depend on which style of metal you personally like the most. Me? I stay with 80's Anthrax.

anthrax is dead......and gone.....after percistence of time...........

I couldn't agree more. The new album will have to be pretty damn good to disprove my theory.

Get off it! The only defining factor to their "loss of star status" is the fact that they haven't writin a decent song since Sound Of White Noise. Even that album had it's fair share of filler.

Haven't written a decent song? Well, I guess that's your opinion, but there isn't a single weak song on Volume 8, and Tester off of Stomp is one of the best metal songs ever IMO, so you might as well get off it, too :p
