What about the Joe Barresi ''Evil Drums''? Any one any experience with them??could help gear BFD 2 more towards metal....

Have both Superior 2 and BFD2....different horses for different courses. BFD's engine can't deal well with faster tempos....machine gun city. The Barresi and Andy Johns expansion packs are cool and don't suffer as much from machine gun-itis if you use the full 256 layers. I'd say the Barresi stuff is more rock orientated than metal, but it will do the job for either style. I don't like the cymbals much but the snares and kicks are great. A nice variance in drum tones too. The room mics are excellent as well.

The Andy Johns stuff might be better suited to metal, but it depends on what you're looking for.
