Just wondering if anyone uses Slate VCC/VTM with BFD2 samples?

I just bought VCC (so haven't been able to try this), but as I understand BFD2 samples already have the mixing desk and tape warmth in them, does anyone go further to double up on that?

Is there anything I should be looking out for on doubling up the desk/tape effects on these samples? Eg, loss of transients, top end?

(Full disclosure; I work for FXpansion)

BFD2's samples are not processed by tape, so no... they do not have the "tape warmth" in them. They're as dry as you'd get if you recorded a drumkit pre-processing. That's kind of the whole point of BFD, to allow the user ultimate control over the drum sound, not like some other libraries out there. So yes, feel free to use VCC/VTM on the BFD2 outputs.

Without meaning to overly pimp it, I've been using our new plugin Maul on drums with some really great successes:

Maybe try out the demo?!

Well that answered my question! Thanks.

As for Maul, it looks interesting, but probably a bit further down the creative path than where I'm at now.
