Just curious if anyone here is a fan of Agalloch.

I just got Mabool, which is amazing.

Reminds me a lot of Agalloch (From the US), who I also enjoy very much.

They are actually one of the first bands that came to mind when I first heard Orphaned Land. Oh well.....

Hey, when are you guys playing in SF next? I bet your songs would be phenomenal live. I admit that I only recently acquired The Mantle, but it's really a fantastic album. Some of the vocals remind of Orphaned Land weirdly. A lot of it reminds me of Primordial too, the folk influence. It's very original though.

The song "Halo Dies" specifically.
Especially the clean vocal line, "Hell hath no fury like a God scorned"

It comes out of nowhere from the heaviness. Fits perfectly!

Just reminds me a bit of some of Agalloch's arrangements.

NEEDED!!!

I don't see much similarity, except that they both incorporate folk in their music. Mid-Eastern folk is way different from foresty northern folk. Both are amazing bands, though!
