Any other Doctor Who fans here?

LOVE IT.

My countryman, David Tennant, has been the greatest Dr ever (In my humble opinion). Having met the chap, he's awesome. He's like a sassy but unbelievably un-gay man, kick ass Dr.

PLUS, he played a character called "Davina" in an early 90s show of Rab C Nesbitt (the greatest Scottish TV ever!).

edit: I found a Youtube link to a chunk of the episode that Tennant appears in as a chick:

AWESOME!

2nd edit: Having seen this for the first time in 10 years or more, HOLY CRAP, he's one convincing woman! Watch till the end, or at least skip to it - so funny!

Heh, awesome.

I love tennant, and I think he is doing fairly well this season so far with the even more depressed doctor figure.

[Spoiler+ Nerd Rant]

The shit part of it all is the fact Billie Piper left... Not that I liked her acting ONE BIT, but it totally ruined the Bad Wolf thing from playing out more. From what I read in an interview with Davies, is that Rose was supposed stay with the doctor in the end of the last season, and the whole thing was she was gonna lead her mother to Bad Wolf Bay and say goodbye, and that this 3rd season was going to finish off the Bad Wolf thing. Instead billie piper, not wanting to be a nerds time-travelling wet dream, left the show and we got the abrubt ending to the Bad Wolf thing.

Fuck her.

[/nerdy rant]

She didn't want to be type-casted. She was a child pop-star who married a radio millionaire 20 odd years her senior, whom she then divorced. Dr Who was her proper big break as an adult, and she just got bored of it.

Sorta lame really.

Yeah, it is.

Also, while i was watching the final episode of the second series, I was screaming at the computer monitor when she ended up being alive in the alternate dimension. That pissed me off... big time. And then the sappy discussion between her and the doctor at the end... GRAAAH!

I wanted her to fucking die. Or better yet, to be sucked into the dimensional rift where she would be alone with a buncha cybermen and some daleks for all eternity. That woulda been better.

That she does.

Seriously, I know he wants to finish off the Bad Wolf thing, but bringing a companion back who isn't Romana is not cool.

That said, Sarah Jane Smith was excusable since it was just a short guest appearance. And k-9 was with her. Completely excusable. Although, The Sarah Jane Adventures is NOT excusable.
