1) You've released 12 full albums over almost 30 years. How has your music progressed over that time?

2) You have a cult following in the USA, but your band is not huge over here. How do you perceive the music scene in the United States?

Hmmmmm.....it always amazed me how Pretty Maids could write crushingly heavy tunes like "Scream" and "It Comes At Night", and then turn around and write beautifully melodic ballads, like "In A World Of Your Own", "Savage Heart" or "Enter Forevermore". Have they ever felt that this wide range of style has hurt them in gaining a wider audience, especially in the US?

Though the band didn't quite reach the level of fame that some of their contemporaries did, they still had a tremendous influence on the following generation of melodic metal bands, particularly in Europe. Of those bands, who would they consider to be the next torch-bearers for melodic metal?
