Any reviews on Rush Moving Pictures shows??

Other than them playing a few newer songs that I didn't know, it was fantastic!! Very cool comical videos playing before most songs. You will love it!!

I'll see them in DC the week after ProgPower. My older brother already saw them this tour and said it was fantastic. Other regular PP forum members have already seen them and said it was a great show. I can't wait!

Saw them in Vegas this past weekend. They sounded great and are clearly having fun. The setlist (particularly in the first set) isn't what I would have picked ("Time Stands Still" as the second song....really?), but the 2 1/2 hours flew by. The filmed segments were great; be sure to stay after the last song, particularly if you saw "I Love You Man".

One other setlist comment: they really need to mix it up a bit more. I think they've opened with "Spirit of the Radio" and closed with "Working Man" the last three times I've seen them!

Quibbles aside, they're still clearly one of the best.

They haven't opened with TSOR since 1986.

I'll see them at the DC show - There will be 5 songs I haven't heard them play, including the 2 new ones, plus a few I haven't heard in quite awhile.

I think Rush does a fine job mixing their songs up.

Thought they opened with "Radio" on the R30 tour? It's the first song on the DVD.....

Definitely. Plus, I really thought they opened with it on the Snakes and Arrows tour as well.

EDIT: I looked it up, and I guess I was wrong. It appears "Limelight" was the opener on the S&A tour (although for the life of me I swear I remember it being SotR). And technically, the medley/overture was the R30 opener.

Saw them in Philly in July. It was my first time seeing them live. Awesome show although I thought Geddy missed a few notes every once in a while. But at his age I can't blame him. I was not disappointed in the least bit.

Yep, S&A tour opener was Limelight with the extended opening chords as Alex "waits" for Geddy to get on stage. Good stuff.

TSOR is always a memorable tune becuase it easily gets the biggest (almost annoyingly so) crowd reaction of the entire set, no matter where in the set they play it. Sorry, I can only take so much of the dude standing next to you yelling "WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" throughout the song!

Can't wait for the Sept 29 show-- I've not seen them and would have attended the Roll the Bones tour in Colorado and the Snakes and Arrows tour in Atlanta but was out of the area those times...

Saw this last night. It was great! Geddy's voice cracked a lot though when he strove for the louder, higher parts.

Also, can anyone recommend a DVD?

First time I saw them was last night. Good show. How can you complain about anything? Is Geddy perfect? No. But so what. He tried to hit some of the higher notes and he did a really good job. Not always on, but who the hell is? Wasn't there to listen to the albums, but to hear them perform, and that they did.

Only complaint is that they should not be using chimps in that video, as such chimps lead miserable lives and often end up in testing facilities when they are no longer 'cute'.
