Anybody familiar with the Mackie MR8s?

This kinda relates to my other thread

Im using Alesis MK1 Active right now and I'm srugglin, however, there is a pair of Mackie MR8s sitting under a cuboard in college and they said I might be able to swap them for my Alesis as they only use them as probs when filming (I'm doing film and media)

I havnt had a chance to test them out but there has been mixed reviews

I think Brian Hood on here is using a set of Mackie MR's, not sure if it's the 8's though.
