Hi chaps, any of you know if there are any lurking about? My reasoning behind this is in Diskonnect's below quote- i think it would be dead handy to try. (just searched through google, nothing turning up yet :( , although i have bumped into hades on another forum which was quite a laugh ).

Anybody out there interested in making some?

Many thanks,

Kev

See this thread for the answers to all (or most of) your questions...

Oh, and dude, that does indeed rock. I feel like the essence of the Colony/Clayman sound is the Engl cab, not the mic configuration... I think using 2 mics just smooths out the top end a bit. As you have demonstrated, you can get nearly the exact sound with just one mic.

Those arn't taken from real cabs... they are somehow taken from clips that are already recorded so they are not as accurate as it would be from a mic'd cab.

This is what Wild hades did on this forum (alu is wild hades). I haventr tested them just yet though altho they are 'fake'.

It would be so aweome if you could make an impulse of that cab poi! :D

I was just about posting link to the GuitarAmp modeling, but then I've saw above the link to the exactly same thread's been posted..... Poi, if you have any chance to model the sound, go for it....

OT: Guys, if I want to upload something to the Kazrog's FTP, what's the procedure? :) :zombie:

ive just uploaded a rar file of a few sets of impulses ive made, along with the sweep i use

done with a Peavey XXL head into various cabs (Marshall 1960A, Harley Benton G212, Marshall VS412). 2 impulses per file one is with an sm57 ala sneap, and the other is an e609 ala sneap i got the sweep from voxengo deconvolver
